Quito, 16/01/2007 (SPS) the President of the Republic,
Mohamed Abdelaziz, left the Ecuadorian capital, Quito, yesterday
evening, ending thus his official visit to the Republic of Ecuador
where he attended the ceremony of investiture of the new President
of this friendly country, Rafael Correa, indicated an authorised
source from the Presidency.
The Head of the State was accompanied by representatives of the
Latino American government and the Saharawi Ambassador to Ecuador,
Hash Ahmed, to the military base "Marshal Sucre", where the
President took his flight, the same source added.
Mr. Abdelaziz arrived to Quito last Saturday 13 in response to an
official invitation from the Ecuadorian Government to attend the
official ceremony of transmission of power in the Latino American
country. The President was then just coming from Nicaragua where he
attended the investiture of its new President, Daniel Ortega.
During his sojourn in the Ecuadorian capital President Abdelaziz
received in his residency many political personalities as well as
representatives of the human rights organisations, a source from the
Saharawi presidential delegation indicated to SPS.
He also gave exclusive interviews to TV channels, including to Canal
TeleSur, which cover the entire Latino America and broadcast from
Caracas, and the National TV of Panama.(SPS)
