Quito, 15/01/2007 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, attended on Monday at the seat of the Parliament of the Republic of Ecuador, the speech of the ex-President of the Latino American country, Doctor Alfredo Palacio, during the ceremony of investiture of the new President of Ecuador,.

13 Heads of State and more than 101 delegations of countries and international organisations attended the ceremony, it was indicated.

The Head of the Saharawi State arrived to the capital of Ecuador on Saturday after having attended on Tuesday the ceremony of investiture of the new President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega.

During his sojourn in the Ecuadorian capital President Abdelaziz received in his residency many political personalities as well as representatives of the human rights organisations, a source from the Saharawi presidential delegation indicated to SPS.

He also gave exclusive interviews to TV channels, including to Canal TeleSur, which cover the entire Latino America and broadcast from Caracas, and the National TV of Panama.(SPS)
