Postponement of the trial of Saharawi human rights activist, Ennaama Asfari to next week    

Smara (occupied territories), 09/01/2007 (SPS) The trial of the Saharawi human rights activist, Ennaama Asfari, was postponed by the Moroccan colonial court in the occupied city of Smara to the next Monday, indicated a press release by the Saharawi Association of the Victims of the Flagrant Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH).

 

Mr. Ennaama was brought before the Moroccan general prosecutor of the same court last Saturday and early Sunday, the same source stressed.

 

The human rights activist was arrested last Friday by the Moroccan police upon his return from France with his wife and parents-in-law, it should be recalled.

 

On another hand, two members of the ASVDH, Mr. Sbai Ahmed and Mr. Sabbar Brahim will be presented this Tuesday before the Moroccan court of appeal in the occupied city of El Aaiun.

 

Mr. Sabbar and Mr. Ahmed Sbai, were arrested last June in El Aaiun by the Moroccan colonial authorities in company of their compatriots, Haddi Ahmed Mahmoud, alias: Elkainan, and his brother Haddi Salah, upon their return from the occupied city of Bojador, where they supervised the creation of a section of the ASVDH, it should be recalled.
