The Intifada is the best way for Saharawis to break the political black-out, Mohamed Abdelaziz affirms

 

27 of February School (Saharawi refugee camps), 05/01/2007 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, affirmed on Friday in a speech before the Annual Conference of the Foreign Affairs Ministry held in "Chahida Naaja" Centre, that the peaceful Intifada of the Saharawis in the occupied territories of the Western Sahara is "a Saharawi national way to break the actual political black out and a new phase in the Saharawi people’s struggle to impose the national claims".

 

The President of the Republic underlined that this Foreign Affairs Conference has got a great importance, especially that it is held after the 7th ordinary session of the POLISARIO Front’s National Secretariat, the winter session of the National Parliament and the political conferences for the renewal of the heads of municipalities.

 

It is also "the start of the big national efforts for 20076 and the preparation for the new challenges", he added.

 

Mr. Abdelaziz deplored the Moroccan Government’s policy of intransigence aiming to sidestep from its commitments with the international community. He called on all Saharawis to keep their peaceful popular uprising so as to compel Morocco enable the Saharawi people to chose their future in complete freedom.

 

The Head of the State further indicated that the attempts of certain countries to use the humanitarian aids as a card for pressures against the Saharawis "are vouched to failure and can not make us give up our national claims for freedom and independence". (SPS)
