23/12/2006 (SPS) A Saharawi delegation participated to the African
Union’s Governmental experts meeting that took place from December
the 17th to the 19th in Kempton Park, aiming to create a system of
quick alert that would enable the adoption of preventive means to
reduce conflicts and human losses in African reported a close source
from the Saharawi embassy to the African Union.
The participants agreed that this system, which will be enforced
after three years, and will also have as an objective to identify
the situations with a sufficient time beforehand so as to adopt the
preventive means by the African Union and the regional economical
communities so as to protect the life and security of the African
peoples.
The SADR’s delegation further had encounters with representatives of
the different organisations, in margin of the experts meeting, to
discuss the last developments in the Western Sahara as well as the
Moroccan repression against the Saharawi civilians in the occupied
territories of the Non-Self-Governing territory and in the southern
cities of Morocco.
The Saharawi delegation that participated to this meeting was
chaired by the SADR’s Ambassador in Ethiopia and the African Union,
Lehbib Breika, the same source added.
