01/12/2006, (SPS) The President of the COSATU (Congress Of South African
Trade Union), expressed "the full support of his organisation to the
Saharawi workers and their people in their struggle against the Moroccan
colonialism", declared the vice-president of the organisation, Willy Madisha,
reports a communiqué by the Saharawi Embassy in Pretoria. |

Mr.
Madisha, who was receiving the Saharawi human rights activist, Ali Salem
Tamek, on Wednesday in the seat of the biggest South African trade union,
demonstrated its "full support to the Saharawi workers under Moroccan
foreign occupation", the same source added.
"Shocked"
by the similarities between "the sinister regime of Apartheid and the
Moroccan colonialism", as described by Mr. Tamek, the South Africa trade
unionist promised to "defend the Saharawi workers and people", adding that
COSATU will start a campaign in South Africa to "raise the national public
opinion about this tragic and unacceptable situation imposed by Morocco on
Saharawis", it was added. (SPS)
