Japanese parliamentarians support UN efforts for self-determination referendum in Western Sahara

 
Tokyo, March 28, 2015 (SPS) - Members of different parties in Japan have expressed support to the efforts of the United Nations for the organization of the referendum on self-determination of the Sahrawi people.
 
Members of the House of Councilors Satsuki EDA, Mizuho FUKUSHIMA, and Member of the House of Representatives Mito KAKIZAWA, co-signed a statement Friday affirming that they “support the efforts of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO)”.
 

Western Sahara: UN should assume its responsibility

 
Boujdour (Refugee Camps), 2015 (SPS), March 28, 2015 (SPS) - The United Nations should assume its responsibility by forcing "the recalcitrant party (Morocco) to abide by Western Sahara decolonization in accordance of the international law," said Friday the Sahrawi coordinator with MINURSO (UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara), M'hamed Kheddad.

Addis Ababa - The African Union (AU) affirmed that it maintains its principled position on the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and the decolonization of Western Sahara, said an AU’s communiqué released on Thursday.
 

Sahrawi women “committed” to continuing their struggle for self-determination

Boujdour (Refugee Camps), March 27, 2015 (SPS) - The Sahrawi women reaffirmed Thursday their commitment to continuing their struggle for the self-determination and independence of their country.
 
Speaking at a preparatory conference for the congress of the National Union of Sahrawi Women, the participants in this meeting underlined their “commitment” to the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination, while reiterating their willingness to “always remain in the vanguard of the fight.”
 

Delegation from occupied territories visits refugee camps

President of Republic offers condolences to Chancellor of Germany

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Zones), March 26, 2015(SPS) -The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario, Mohamed Abdelaziz, has sent a condolence letter to the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, following the tragic airplane crash that occurred on Tuesday.
 
“On behalf of the Government and the Saharawi people, I would like to convey to you and to the German people our sincere condolences and solidarity in these painful moments,” said President Mohamed Abdelaziz in his letter to Angela Markel. 

EU supports UN efforts to resolve Western Sahara conflict

 
Strasburg (France), March 26, 2015 (SPS) -The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mrs. Federica Mogherini reaffirmed on Wednesday that the EU supports the efforts of the UN Secretary General to find a political solution, which ensure the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.
 

Prime Minister receives Personal Envoy of UN Secretary-General

Embezzlement of European Union aid to Sahrawi refugees: Unfair accusations, says EU

 
Brussels, March 26, 2015 (SPS) - European Union (EU) on Wednesday dubbed "unfair" accusations Morocco's allegations about misappropriation of its humanitarian aid to the Saharawi refugee camps in Tindouf.
 
"The accusations of embezzlement of the EU humanitarian aid to refugee camps in Tindouf are unfair, especially in view of the efforts and measures taken by the European Commission," said Kristalina Georgieva, the deputy chief of the European Commissioner in charge of Budget and Human Resources.

WSF: Expanding international solidarity sphere with Sahrawi cause, main focus of Sahrawi participation

 
Tunis, March 26, 2015 (SPS) - The Sahrawi delegation, participating in the 13th World Social Forum (WSF) which is being held in Tunis (from 24 to 28 March), is working to expand the sphere of the international solidarity with the Sahrawi cause, affirmed Wednesday the head of the Sahrawi delegation, Secretary General of the Sahrawi workers  Mohamed Mohamed Cheikh Lahbib.
