Chahid El Hafed (refugee camps), The renewal of the Saharawi National Council (Parliament) reached 61,53% of the 53 seats of the parliament, declared Mr. Bechir Moustapha Sayed, member of the National Secretariat in charge for political orientation of POLISARIO Front and President of the National Committee in charge for the elections.
Mr. Bechir, who animated a press conference on the results of the elections, indicated that the rate of youth in the parliament is 57,67%, while the women realised a 34,61%.
The new members will hold the first session of inauguration in the liberated territory of Tifariti on the 27 of February, and the president of the new parliament will be elected in this session. (SPS)
