Chahid el Hafed (Sahaarwi refugee camps), 12/05/2008 (SPS) The member of POLISARIO Front’s National Secretariat in charge for Political Orientation, Bachir Moustapha Sayed, declared on Monday that the personal approach of Peter van Walsum is "shameful, injust and completely aligned on the thesis of the Moroccan colonial occupier", whose objective is the confiscation of the Saharwi people’s inalienable rights to self-determination and independence.
Mr Bachir, who animated a press conference at the seat of the POLISARIO’s Political Orientation, stressed that Walsum "is tired and searches a motive to leave", estimating that he decided to “back the aggressor instead of the aggressed".
"Walsum is not welcomed and Hill not be received by POLISARIO Front, nor does POLISARIO wishes to receive him", Bachir Moustapha Sabed stressed.
With regards to the human rights situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, Mr. Bachir indicated that the UN’s silence, especially MINURSO’s, is "unacceptable and negative".
On the political level he estimated that "any option that does not respect the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination is categorically rejected".
He added that "an independent State in Western Sahara does not threaten the United States nor the countries of the region, including Morocco".
Mr. Bachir recalled that the Saharawi people has never make use of terrorism all along their struggle to liberate their land. Bachir Moustapha Sayed (SPS)
